For years, people have told me that I should start a blog. I’ve always thought “Yeah that would be fun, but I just don’t have time” or “It’s not the right timing.” I was constantly making excuses on why it wouldn’t work out, but I’m finally biting the bullet and doing it!

Since I’m new to this, I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself so I thought it would be fun to share 10 facts about me.

1. I grew up with 2 super supportive parents and a younger sister. We love quoting movies (specifically Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre), cracking jokes, and taking road trips together. It’s never a dull moment with them.

2. I have a boyfriend and we’ve been dating for almost 3 years! He’s funny, kind and a little bit crazy, but I love that about him. He also plays baseball and Pokemon Go (do other people still play that??? 😂).

3. I currently attend the University of Kentucky where I’m majoring in Broadcast Journalism! UK has been my dream school ever since I was a little kid. I still pinch myself because I cannot believe this life long dream has come true.

4. During my college career, I got the opportunity to host a TV show! It was an entertainment show based on tourism in the Chicagoland area where I got to go to events, attractions, restaurants, and other cool places. Check out my favorite segment here.

5. Even though I grew up in the Midwest, I truly believe I’m a misplaced Southerner. I love the hospitality, country music, rolling hills, sweet tea, and the accent. I would love to live in Nashville, TN or Dallas, TX someday.

6. I think I could survive solely on french vanilla iced coffee and chicken tacos. I have to have an iced coffee every morning (and like 2 more after that) and I celebrate taco Tuesday religiously. You could say I’m pretty obsessed.

7. I’m a pretty big sports fan. I love going to Chicago Cubs games in the summer and Miami Dolphins games in the fall (my boyfriend made me a fan). You can also catch me at every Caturday and at Rupp Arena cheering on the cats!

8. I’m a huge dog person and I’m obsessed with corgis. They are seriously the cutest dogs in the world and they have so much personality! I want like 10 of them.

9. Growing up, I was a dancer and a cheerleader. I danced for 9 years and cheered for 7. I really miss it!

10. I drive a convertible Volkswagen Beetle Bug! My mom drove one for years and I always thought they were really cool cars. When it was time for me to buy a new car, I knew I wanted to get a bug. It’s been a dream come true.
